Green February: when awareness turns into action in our cities
Green February is a clear invitation: move past talk and put sustainability into practice. In 2024, this movement gained momentum through a major environmental mobilization that promoted public-area cleanups and tree planting in 12 Brazilian cities, bringing together volunteers, organizations, and local communities.
The action happened simultaneously across different regions of the country, reinforcing that caring for the environment starts where we live: beaches, parks, plazas, rivers, and neighborhoods.
Cleanup, planting, and collective participation
During Green February, volunteers collected waste and planted seedlings, along with educational initiatives such as seed distribution and disposable pocket ashtrays — small actions that help build new everyday habits.
Partner environmental organizations and local initiatives expanded the reach of the action, showing that real impact is born from collaboration.
Sustainability in practice
More than a one-time event, Green February reinforces an essential idea: sustainability isn’t only a long-term goal — it’s a daily choice, made through simple, collective, continuous actions.
Caring for cities, regenerating green areas, and engaging people are part of the path toward a more balanced future. And that path starts now.
